How is the Leap IDE different from my local setup?

The Leap IDE is a cloud-based IDE that runs in your browser. It offers the ease of use of a well-configured local setup, without the hassle of having to set it up yourself. It automatically loads and configures

  • Your API token
  • A default solver
  • The SAPI endpoint

In a local setup, you need to install the Ocean SDK and ensure you have a configuration file that contains what is listed above.

One other key difference is that the Leap IDE opens up from a GitHub repository, which makes it easy to run examples, start your own project from existing templates, and work on long-term projects that live in GitHub.
