Alas, poor 2.7. (pip support deprecation warning)

Alas, poor Python 2.7! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.

A heads up for the Python 2.7 folks in the crowd -- 2.7 reaches end-of-life on January 1, 2020. There will be no more bug fixes after that. Perhaps even more important, pip will no longer support 2.7 after that date.

Google cloud gave me the friendly reminder today:

DEPRECATION: Python 2.7 will reach the end of its life on January 1st, 2020. Please upgrade your Python as Python 2.7 won't be maintained after that date. A future version of pip will drop support for Python 2.7.
