Style guide?

I'm curious whether at D-Wave, with headquarters in Canada and offices in the US, you try to follow a company-wide style guide in your code and learning resources.  As an occasional contributor to your open-source projects, I wonder whether I should write behaviour or behavior, for example.  Just don't ask me to give up Oxford commas.  :-)  Is there a Canadian equivalent of Strunk & White?

  • Hello Scott,

There is indeed a style guide that we follow for documentation. It is currently an internal document but I have shared this idea with our writers. If they decide to make it public I will post a link here.

  • Great question!  We do have a style guide, but so far it's internal only. This is a good reminder that we should make it available to our contributors. We'll look into the best way of doing this.

    Two quick answers:

    • we also love the Oxford comma
    • US spelling, so "behavior"
