I think we will get there eventually. The Ocean Tools programming library is a huge step forward in accessibility. Your idea of a single executable sounds like a great way to make quantum computing available to people who are not programmers. In fact, I think it is possible to set up something like a custom problem solver than runs in a web page. The goal would be to completely hide all the programming and present to the user only the tool needed to solve a specific kind of problem.
