How Do I Use an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) with the Leap Service?

You can use any IDE, either local or cloud-based, that implements the Development Containers specification (aka "devcontainers") to develop quantum applications and submit problems to Leap™ solvers. D-Wave recommends GitHub Codespaces; you could also use a local IDE (for example, VS Code).

In your IDE, you must authorize the Ocean™ SDK access to your Leap account and store your solver API token, which is required to submit problems to Leap solvers. To get quickly started with GitHub Codespaces and the Leap service, see How Do I Get Started with GitHub Codespaces. For detailed information, see the Leap service's Support for IDEs.
