What Is the Pegasus Topology?

The topology of the Advantage QPU is called the Pegasus topology. The topology refers to the way the qubits and couplers are laid out on the chip. The image on the left shows this layout. The qubits are elongated ellipses and are aligned vertically and horizontally. They are also shifted which allows for each qubit to have a degree of 15 (each qubit is connected to 15 other qubits). The image on the right highlights 15 connected qubits within the topology.
